A Mighty Waters Task Force was created to submit further recommendations to our office to assure that federal agencies and resources are used more effectively to benefit the region and galvanize local and regional interest in waterway related projects and policies.
By early December of 2010, final committee reports were submitted and condensed into a series of findings and recommendations for further action.
During the winter of 2011, we held an extensive listening tour, in which he heard input from local planners, elected officials, recreation enthusiasts including both motorized and non-motorized boaters, developers, heritage preservationists, high school and university students and many more.
